What Solin collects
Nothing. No personal data, no usage statistics, no error reports, no telemetry of any kind. The application runs entirely on your computer and does not send anything back.
Server requests
Solin makes only two external connections (GET requests) to the Solin server:
1. Version check — to see if an update is available. This sends an anonymous UUID — a random code generated locally on your device, with no link to your identity or hardware — only so the system can count how many unique active installations exist.
2. Global notifications — to fetch important system announcements, if any.
Third-party websites
The built-in browser loads pages from official websites like jw.org. When it does, your device connects to those sites directly, under their own terms and privacy policies. Solin does not intercept or store any of that traffic.
Wi-Fi sharing
When you use the Wi-Fi feature, Solin creates a local server on your network. Files shared that way go directly between devices on the same network — they do not pass through any external server.
Media files
Any media that Solin plays or stores — whether songs, meeting media, or anything else — stays only on your computer. Nothing is uploaded anywhere by the application.
This website
This website may log basic, anonymous visit data through standard server infrastructure. No tracking scripts, no advertising cookies, no fingerprinting.
Changes to this policy
If anything here ever changes, the updated version will be on this page with a new effective date.
