About Solin
A few words about what this is and who made it.
What is it for?
Solin helps with the operational side of congregation meetings — projecting media to the secondary screen. Songs, videos, images from the meeting, browser content — that kind of thing.
It is a Windows application. You run it on the computer connected to the projector or TV, so whoever is at that seat can feel comfortable handling the media.
Who made this?
A brother, working on his own. There is no organization or official body behind this — and it is not endorsed or affiliated with Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania or any related entity.
It is free, and that is not going to change.
About the warning when you download
Windows or your browser will probably show a warning saying the file comes from an unknown publisher. That happens because Solin does not have a paid digital certificate — the kind that tells Windows who signed the file. Getting one involves a costly yearly fee that does not make sense for something like this.
The warning is about identity. It just means Windows does not recognize the name behind the file, not that anything is wrong with it. If you want to verify for yourself, you can scan the file on VirusTotal before running it.
To get past the warning:
In your browser download bar, click the arrow next to the file and choose Keep or Keep anyway.
When the Windows SmartScreen dialog appears, click More info then Run anyway.
